This week the spotlight shines brightly on our Group Project Manager, Conor. Having worked for Chestnut for almost five years, Conor has become an integral member of the team. His willingness to get involved with every aspect of hospitality, his desire to help others and passion for the business, make him a wonderful colleague to be around.
Conor began his journey with us in the Chestnut Academy, our two-year management training programme which offers a unique insight into all areas of our business, from the kitchen and behind the bar, to housekeeping and front of house. He has managed team, poured pints, cleaned bedrooms and helped in the kitchen of many of our pubs, including The Northgate, Rupert Brooke and Packhorse Inn, learning valuable skills that he has taken forward into his current role.
Alongside managing our wet stock offering, he oversees numerous projects, including important property refurbishments. His most recent projects include a full refurbishment of the bar, restaurant and bedrooms at The Globe on the North Norfolk coast and The Carpenters Arms in Cambridgeshire.
Having worked in a variety of jobs before joining Chestnut, Conor knows what it takes to make a business run efficiently, how to develop products and services and how to build relationships with those around him. A team player through and through, Conor is excelling in his role and we're looking forward to seeing where the next year will take him.
