If you have visited one of our pubs recently, you may have seen our brand new in-house magazine, In a Nutshell, greeting you at the entrance, or perhaps propped up on the bar.
We wanted to create something specifically for our guests which is informative and fun, giving a closer glimpse at our portfolio of pubs and our teams that run them. It's a chance to introduce you to Chestnut while showcasing why East Anglia is our much loved home, through its people, places and local provenance and events.

SPRING/SUMMER 2022
Our first edition has a variety of articles ranging from pub profiles, to an interview with music megastar and Suffolk native, Ed Sheeran. A Framlingham man through and through, Ed chooses to stay close to his roots in Suffolk, shunning the lure of London or LA. You can read more on pages 13-14.
We offer insights about the historic city of Cambridge, the quaint Essex town of Saffron Walden and the jewel in the crown of Suffolk, Bury St. Edmunds. There are so many reasons to visit East Anglia, so we're proud to be able to shine a spotlight on just a few of these locations and we can't wait to continue exploring our way around the region in our next edition.
In a Nutshell also reveals our brand new map that illustrates the location of each of our 16 pubs and inns across East Anglia. Putting Chestnut on the hospitality map has been a journey. So we've reimagined the Chestnut landscape with all its charm, culture and abundant ingredients, telling the visual story of our places.
