TOP 5 FARMERS' MARKETS IN EAST ANGLIA

There is no better way to spend your lazy Saturday or Sunday than mooching around a local farmer's market for a few hours. From fresh flowers and homeware to home-grown meats and vegetables, there really is something for everyone.

We've chosen a few of our favourites in East Anglia to visit before a pit-stop and pint or Sunday roast!

LAVENHAM FARMERS' MARKET

Lavenham Farmers’ Market is held on the 4th Sunday of every month from 10am until around 1.30pm. In 2022, it was named the best farmers’ market in the UK highlighting that all produce which is sold on the market is sourced within a 30-mile radius. Your four-legged friends are welcome to join you and there is free parking in the village all day. Stop by The Black Lion to try their Family Sharing Roast afterwards!

BECCLES FARMERS' MARKET

Running for more than 20 years, Beccles Farmers’ Market is one of the biggest undercover rural markets in the country. The organisers of the market are also committed to ensuring stallholders are all based within a maximum of 30 miles. From fresh products to local artisans, they host around 30 stalls every first and third Saturday of the month from 9am until 1 pm.

We would recommend making a visit if you're staying at The Westleton Crown or The Ship, Dunwich.

BURY ST EDMUNDS FARMERS' MARKET

Bury St Edmunds Farmers’ Market remains one of the most popular Farmers’ Markets in the county after being listed in The Daily Telegraph guide. It is held every second Sunday of the month, so makes for an ideal excuse to visit the cathedral, Abbey Gardens and The Weeping Willow in Barrow too. If you are visiting Bury St Edmunds during the week there is also a weekly market held on a Wednesday and a Saturday from 10 am.
